MONTANA WATER ENVIRONMENT ASSOCIATION & MONTANA SECTION OF THE AMERICAN WATER WORKS ASSOCIATION
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
The Award: A lifetime Achievement Award contributed by both Montana Associations and recognition of those achievements before the Joint Associations.
Frequency of Award: As determined by the Associations' Joint Boards.
Eligibility for the Award: The qualifying characteristics a candidate must meet to be eligible for this award are all of the following:
1. Outstanding service to the Montana Section AWWA and/or Montana WEA;
2. Contributions to the water and/or wastewater industry and profession; and
3. Long-term dedication to the development of excellence in the water and/or wastewater industry and professions which contribute to the protection of public health and the environment.
Nomination Procedure: Nominations my be made at any time by any member or committee of either association. To be considered for selection in any year, however, nominations must be received by an annually designated due date (typically two months preceding the Joint Annual Conference). Nominations are submitted to the Executive Committee for compilation with other nominations. The committee will present all nominations to the Joint Association Boards for determination of recipient(s).
Each nomination must include the appropriate nomination form; which requires submission of:
1. A brief (250 words) statement summarizing the nominee's eligibility or justification for "distinguished service" in the water and/or wastewater fields;
2. A biography in a format designated by the associations including the nominee's full name; date of birth, retirement and date of deceased (as appropriate); and other information important to consideration of the nomination.
Award Committee Membership: The committee shall consist of two members from each association duly appointed by the Section Chair and Association President.
